Finding & Sorting Cases
This section relates to the client wed portal only.
When the portal user logs in, they will immediately see a list of their currents debts
Filter this list of debts using the filters in the "My Search" Tab:-

Searching in general
You can search by a specific field of data or a combination of criteria fields. All data entered into any of the search tabs will become part of the search criteria.
Once you have specified your search criteria simply click the “Search” button on the common tasks. A list of options will appear in a table like in the diagram below.
Clear search criteria
To clear the search fields and start a new search, click the button labelled “Clear”.
Search by Open, Closed or All debts
If you are looking for debts that are currently open, click the circle labelled “open”.
If you are looking for debts that are closed, click the circle labelled “closed”.
If you are unsure if the debt you are seeking is open or closed, or if you simply wish to view all debts regardless of their closed status, you may click the circle labelled “All Debts”.
Search by Department

This is a select box or drop-down list containing all of the departments of your business. If you only have one, it will be the default automatically.
If you have multiple departments you can locate them in the list, or input part of the name in the “search for a department to build a filtered list containing matches.

In most cases there will be a single option which will be selected by default. Should there be more than one option, you can specify your choice be selecting it in the list.
Search by reference
In the “My Search” tab click the tab labelled “Search by Reference”.

First, select the type of reference from the drop-down list and then enter the reference inside the field labelled “Reference Number”.
Search by debtor
In the “My Search” tab, click the tab labelled “Search by Debtor”.
Enter any part of any name relating to the debtor into the “Any Name” field.
Enter any part of any address relating to the debtor into the “Any Address” field.
Search by date referred
In the “My Search” tab, click the tab labelled “Search by Accepted Date”. Accepted date is the date the debt was accepted by the agency.

If you are looking to locate debts referred to on a specific date, or range of dates, enter them into the fields labelled “Start Date” and “End Date”.
Search by Status
In the “My Search” tab, click the tab labelled “Search by Status”.

If you are looking to find of list of debts for a specific status, select the status from the drop-down list.
Search by due date
In the “My Search” tab, click the tab labelled “Search by Next Due Date”.
If you are looking to locate debts due on a specific date, or range of dates, enter the date into the field labelled “this date:” and stipulate whether before, after, equal to (the date) or not equal to (the date).
Print search results
Once you have built a list of search results you may print the list by clicking the “Print” link on the common tasks.
Export search results
Once your search has returned results to search table, a new option will appear in the common tasks to export the list.
Simply click on the link and you will be prompted to save or open the exported list.
Cancel will abort the export.
Save will prompt you to save the exported list onto your computer.
Open will import the list into Excel and open it.

To access a debt, simply click on the row it is referenced in the table.
