When a new case is created using an existing debtor already related to a case, such cases become linked together. Notations added to any linked case will update all related cases.
Batch imported cases can also be linked together when the client code and primary client reference are the same.
When you access a case in the Case Manager that is linked to other cases, the following alert will appear.
To view a list of the related cases, click on the “Related Cases” button on the side-bar.
By clicking on a case number hyperlink in the table of related case, you will be taken to that case in a new session of the case manager.
IMPORTANT: Only notes added via the “Add Note” button are added to all linked cases. Action wizards and other shortcuts from the shortcut list, payments, SMS messages, charges and arrangements are all specific to the case they are run for.
