Setting Up for Pre-Referral / DIY Debts

A client can use the portal to create their own cases and action them prior to referring these for debt recovery action. We refer to these as 'pre-referral' or 'DIY' debts. To enable this you must following these steps.

SETUP SYSTEM SETTINGS

System Settings > General Config page > Client Portal tab

Tick "Allow Portal DIY Debts". Specify if there is a maximum debt value on DIY debts loaded and record the message to display when the client has reached their quota.

SETUP ACTION WIZARDS FOR USE

Action Wizards must be marked as a "Client DIY Action" and an "Initial Action"

Setup the client 

Go to Entities > Client > Add or maintain Client

In the Portal Settings page, define the rules by setting any debt value limit, the number of debts they can load within a time-frame from a specific date. Nominate the DIY actions they can select, or restrict these where indicated.

SETUP PORTAL USER

Go to Entities > Client > Portal Users

Bring up the user and go to the "Rules" page. Here you enable the user to create new debts from the portal and set any maximum debt value on DIY debts.
